Attorney Carlo Bonavita Headshot

Carlo is a trial attorney who focuses heavily on trucking and transportation litigation. With more than seventeen years of experience handling complex civil cases, he has represented clients in matters involving trucking liability, product liability, insurance coverage disputes, and other high-stakes litigation in both state and federal courts across the United States.

Earlier in his career, Carlo served on a regional legal team representing a large interstate motor carrier and also defended product liability claims brought against major automobile and commercial truck manufacturers. These experiences gave him extensive insight into the legal and regulatory issues surrounding the trucking industry.

A significant portion of Carlo’s work centers on legal writing and motion practice. He has developed a reputation for strong written advocacy through his work drafting appellate briefs, dispositive motions, and other complex filings. His background includes substantial work in legal research, discovery strategy, and litigation briefing. Over the course of his career, he has successfully defended failure-to-warn claims in trial and appellate courts, defeated a federal class action involving a novel employment theory, and pursued punitive damages claims against commercial trucking defendants.

Carlo earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2004 after completing his undergraduate studies at Fordham University in 2001. He is active in several professional organizations, including the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, where he has served in a leadership role with the organization’s Trucking Safety Committee, and the Association of Truck Accident Attorneys.

Outside of his legal practice, Carlo enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is also an avid comic book enthusiast and collects both comic books and original comic art.
